PARIS CITY TOUR
OVERNIGHT IN PARIS
On our morning city tour you will see such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, and the Place
de la Concorde.
We take the Batobus on a cruise down the Seine to
Notre Dame Cathedral. The Cathedral is located on Île de la Cité, an island in the middle of the Seine which was
inhabited by the Parisi Gauls starting in the second century BC and occupied by Jules Caesar’s Romans in 52 BC.
The cornerstone for Notre Dame was laid in 1163 and its completion took almost two hundred years. It is considered
one of the finest examples of French Gothic Architecture.

Our city tour terminates at the
Eiffel Tower, the symbol of both Paris and France. It is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world.
Millions of people ascend it every year. Named for its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance
arch to the 1889 World's Fair.
We will take those who do not want to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower to
Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris (Sacré-Cœur),
located at the summit of the Montmartre hill, the highest point in the city.
Construction of Sacré-Cœur Basilica began in 1875 and was finished in 1914. It was
consecrated after the end of World War I in 1919.
